Yes, turbo tunig is cheaper and sometimes easier. And on occasion, dangerous.
Depends on ECU security these days, as to just how stealthy it can be done.
Having another platform sharing the engine, is a plus in that regard.
But it does show that maybe Nissan has been “crazy like a fox” with the 370Z.
When you think about it, front engine 2-seater with rear wheel drive, naturally aspirated 6 putting out 330Hp and available MT6 that is actually pretty readily affordable and pretty fine looking - that is is a combination that is damn hard to find these days. If only it had a better torque number, and maybe some minor tech and interior tweaks over the years...
