Every now and then Ill buy stuff to make sandwiches, case of water, some sort of individually wrapped snacks and make meal packs in ziplock bags and keep them in my car. Ill hand them out to homeless people that I drive up to on street corners. 90% of them really do appreciate it. The other 10% get the bird.
The one homeless guy that I really felt bad for was in front of a grocery store. He greeted everyone with a "hello, god bless you".. didnt ask for anything. I made sure to get him a few pre made sub sandwiches and a couple liters of water. I gave them to him as I walked back to my car. As I pull out of the lot, I see this guy take his bag of goodies, walk over to his fellow homeless, and start giving the sandwiches and water to them...Same grocery store, a guy comes up to me asking for a blanket because he was freezing. I actually had one in my trunk (my favorite comfy one). Gave it to him and he started crying saying I saved his life...I think someone started cutting onions at that point...
