It is really not that uncommon for an axle to break at the drag strip. I also believe SOHO broke one as well, they were on drag radials. I think it is a matter of rolling the dice at your power level. You can buy several set of oem axles for the price and you may never break one....or you can spend the money an not ever worry about it.
