He was able to do this for me because I've purchased products from him before, in the past and they were fine, which is why I cannot blame him for the crappy quality and "customer service" that Zakustech offers. At first, I was a little weary so I messaged Zakustech/Zociety to see if they actually knew the middle man - turns out they did and they work with him so that gave me the green light.

I went ahead and purchased these louvers and got them in about 6 days. When I first unboxed the louvers, I noticed a paint chip on the first cross louver which looked to have been "fixed" with touch up paint but it was clearly evident that there was a defect in the paint. I explained this to the middle man and he reported back to Zakustech/Zociety. They apparently told him "they'll look into it and talk to their paint guy" but nothing came of it. I didn't want to nit-pick so I let it go.

My buddies and I mounted the louvers and that was hell because the aluminum was warped so the corners were not staying down onto the windshield. Yes, we used 3M VHB tape, glue on the corners, heated the tape, heated the windshield and heated the louvers, laid down consistent pressure with various textbooks for about 2 hours straight --- we did the whole 9 yards). We finally got it to stick about 95%.

A few days later, we noticed the paint started to peel. THE PAINT LITERALLY PEELED OFF LIKE A DAMN STICKER. I was completely stunned as I was literally able to peel the whole thing off with my fingers. So my buddies and I knew that if the paint peeled off that easily, these louvers could completely rip off on the highway and damage my car or someone else's car.

We then removed the louvers and took various video and photos of the poor paint quality. We were able to see that the aluminum was completely clean! No sanding, no self-etching primer, no prep! No wonder why the damn paint peeled off so easily. I sent these videos and pictures to the middle man who then forwarded them to Zakustech/Zociety and they said they have never seen/heard of that before. They responded by saying they used a new paint-guy and a new process of painting and will look into it.

I guess they didn't want to do anything about it because they offered to send me a free shirt instead of a refund or a partial refund so I could get the louvers repainted or powder-coated. They literally told the middle man that it's not their problem and since I bought it from him, HE should deal with it because they have their own customers to deal with...HOW CAN THIS GUY DEAL WITH IT IF ITS YOUR PRODUCT, ZAKUSTECH/ZOCIETY?!

So pretty much, they give me the run-around for like 3 weeks and I was trying to hold back on writing this in hopes that they might rectify the issue but seeing everyone else's terrible experience with them and their failure to respond to me DIRECTLY, I didn't hold my breath. I didn't want to write this because I rocked with Zociety but after experiencing this ordeal and the shitty "customer service" from them, I cannot and will not support them. I can't get down with a company that tells their customers they want nothing to do with their product's failure and safety risks and not try to at least contact me directly with a civil resolution.

With that being said, be weary about these louvers. It's up to you if you want to take the chance with them or not. Personally, I'd say don't bother because I ended up spending more money to get it fixed and done correctly.
And damn, that aluminum had ZERO prep done. So tired of these half-assed companies.
