Went with the Defi advance series

pretty much the final fit, i have a lot more pictures and info if anyone is curious, on my install. I didn't have to use any hardware to hold the gauges n, i was able to reuse the oem parts to make the gauges easy to swap out if need be while the dash is in, making it super convenient and clean.
I'm going to be picking up the Defi advance. I have two questions:

Where did you mount the control unit for the Defi?

AND

Do you really have to remove the steering wheel to take the dash off?
