I loved working nightshift. At Elliott, it was from 11pm to 7am for 8 yrs straight. Worked out great. When my daughter had something going on in the morning. I would stay up and attend to it. Then go to bed. If she had something in the afternoon or evening. I would go to sleep soon as I got home. Then get up and go.
At the power plant. It was 6:30 to 6:30. One month of dayshift, one month of nightshift. with both jobs. No management was around. We got chit done! After we finished up our assignments. It was gov't job time.
At Elliott. We made a couple of go karts. Potato guns. Etc. At the power plant. It was surf the net until you found the end of it. Wash your vehicle. Tune it up. Change brakes.
