To save even faster, what I used to do (and still do) is at the end of the day every day, put all your one dollar bills and loose change away in a box. Youll have to have larger bills like 10's and 20's at all times, but you wont even notice that your "missing" those one dollar bills. After a while, I moved up to 1s 5 dollar bills.
