Got my car up on stands yesterday to finally start taking care of some maintenance issues.. car has needed an oil change and after sitting for a while the BOVs had gotten stuck. Until now the garage has been so full of remodel related crap I havent been able to work on the car, but its finally clear enough!
That being said.. once I started inspecting I found a couple of surprises... my pass side BOV was completely stuck and had about 1/4 cup of fresh water inside.... not sure I fully understand how that could happen, but the car sat for a while outside and there has been plenty of rain.
The second surprise was this: (drivers side IC inlet)
One of the bolts holding the fenderliner/undershroud/bumper was contacting this spot and wore a hole right through it!!! Dropped it off at a corvette racing shop this morning so they can weld it up.
So my "stuck" BOVs were actually just one stuck BOV..the other was in good working order but the hole in the pipe vented enough pressure that it didn't ever open.
