But 112 hrs in a week, it takes a lot to bounce back from that!

When we was building the power plant in 2002. I did alot of those shifts. Keeping the construction crews in line. Any thing over 40 was OT. 72 hrs of OT per was some NICE pay checks. At that time. I was making about 30 bucks an hour. About $4440 a week. After construction. We went to a 12 hr shift. 6:30 to 6:30. One month of days, one month of nights. The shift was a 5 and 2. 5 days on, 5 days off, 2 day on, 2 days off. One week you would get 48 hrs, the following week would be 36 hrs. 8 hrs of OT built into your pay check.
The way my schedule was. Off every Monday and Tuesday. Work every Wednesday and Thursday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Every other week. Worked those days, the following week would be off. So every other weekend would be a 5 day weekend.
If I took off Wednesday and Thursday off. I would have 7 days off and only use 24 hrs of vacation time.
And I walked away from that job. $150,000 plus a year.
