Meanwhile my Nissan dealership is stellar. (props to Larry H Miller Nissan in Denver)

The buying experience was top-notch (they let me take my current Nismo on a 30 mile run up into the mountains for the test race), the salesman was super personable and still knows my name when I take the car in for routine service, the service department looks like something from a science fiction movie (super clean and high-tech), the tech-writer I work with is incredibly knowledgeable - even about aftermarket, and they always give me the car back in about an hour - fully detailed.

I contrast this with the Ford dealership I walked out on when I went to pick up the GT350 I was about to sign for. Total crap experience with smarmy salesmen, hidden costs, sticker massaging, and the 'techs' didn't even know they weren't allowed to sell the GT350's because of a catastrophic oil cooler issue. (which has since been fixed by Ford)

So it's totally hit and miss.

My only suggestion is that the instant you get the feeling something is up - walk. There are countless ways to get car... So if you're unhappy for any reason, take a walk and find someplace else who is more invested in making you happy.
