Just keep the overall tire diameter as close to stock as you can and you won't encounter any issues. Go up in width and shorten the profile ratio, that sort of thing. There are calculators online to help you with the math if you need them.
If the change is too much from stock, it will confuse the car and you won't be able to drive it on the track. There is already plenty of discussion about this on the forum. I recommend you search.
