This is kinda off topic, but is in regards to the VR30DDTT engine that we hope the next Z will get. Have you guys seen the development updates? It's freaking awesome. There's no real need to get the Red Sport since the turbine sensor was initially a limiting factor preventing tuners from extracting more power, but they've remedied that. Plus, the main difference between the 300HP and 400HP trim is the additional cooling capacity and turbine sensor.
One can opt for the "simpler" 300HP model, upgrade the heat exchanger, down pipe, exhaust, and tune. The result is north of 400 hp and 450 lb-ft at the wheels. AMS upgraded the pistons, rods, and turbos, and they're able to get 800 whp. So that's great progress, which allows the platform to mature for the future Z.
I'm hoping for something sleek and fairly simple and raw like the "Pure" models for the Q and GT-R, but with a manual transmission.
