IMHO the reasons the industry is tight lipped is owner pride or allegiance, and perpetually more impossible consumer expectations. The reality versus the perceived reality are 2 very different things. Building your engine and going for 1000+ hp is a lifestyle choice. Lots of exciting marketing and media on the internet is aimed to make it look like its all winning and high fives. All I can say is, saddle up folks.
