Hi Weapon,
I have an 09 also and use something similar to the CoolStream, it's a device called Bovee 1000 Wireless Bluetooth Music Interface Adapter for in Car iPod Integration in Amazon. Basically I use a DC injector to power this device on immediately when ACC activates, then the radio sees it and thinks it's an iDevice. The WMA1000 then receives Metadata and music from my iPhone X and streams it to the BT interface on the WMA1000 and then to the radio 30 Pin connector. I've had it for nearly 7 years and it works quite well.
As I said in another post, the only "quirk" it has is that the Navi Headunit in my Z powers up the 30 Pin connector and looks for a device [U]after[U] the radio is booted and the period between the radio booting and then querying the 30 pin iDevice header is long enough that the Navi Headunit never sees the BT adapter.
I fixed this by finding a 30 Pin Male to 30 Pin female iPod connector with a side port to provide power from a 12V to 5 V adapter connected to the ACC line. This way the BT adapter is already powered on and recognizable when the radio finishes booting.
That quirk isn't a show stopper but the radio often and randomly fails to see the BT adapter unless I use the method described above.

[ ME SUPERB ] Lightning 8 Pin Female to 30 Pin Male Adapter for iPhone 3 4S iPad 3 iPod Touch 4 would all work but you would have to pry them apart and connected the +5V to the 30 Pin connector Pin #8 and any ground pin.
