Don't be wary of IPP based on that one event. There's more than one shop involved in that debacle, and no one except the parties to the disaster knows how much blame should be put on each party.

The real issue is that, for the cost of a hypothetical 400whp NA Z (since no one had done it yet), you've spent the same amount as a 600whp boosted Z that is a lot more driveable. The one guy who got closest to 400 NA spent a fortune on one off parts, ditched the AC and those numbers weren't on pump gas.

Honestly, either do bolt ons/tune/gears, or forced induction. Either be happy at 340ish whp or be prepared to throw a lot of money at the car.
