We have always said that no money would be taken up front until the kits are finished with development and testing and ready to be produced.
Bullitt is simply relaying the information we have given him.
Everyone is aware of SAM and GTM's short comings and NO ONE wants to be associated or be in the same boat as him.
We will be putting together a Pre-order Group Buy. That will not be released until testing is done and we are ready to produce the production kits. Yes we have missed earlier dates. Why? because we have been putting our existing customers first and clearing out our backlog. What did this mean? We couldn't use our machines to cut the kits... We supply work for several industries with a CNC abilities. Some of those projects came through during this development and while we would love to keep on one project and see it to fruition in a short time. We also have to keep the doors open. We haven't taken a dime for the kits. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars to develop this kit and we are about to spend a lot more right before Christmas. So while you may be skeptical do to other failed businesses. We (RJM) have not done anything to warrant the accusations above.
As for Bobby's past his issue was related to taxes and not paying on time. He paid his employees first and he was made an example of because of it (Many years ago and not associated to RJM). Also, There are more people involved in this business venture other than Bobby. Everyone of them with a clean record and a history of running successful businesses.
There is no Ponzi scheme, there is no rob from peter to pay paul, and there is no shady business here.
Now I know this may have come across as direct and some may take it as harsh but we want to nip this kind of thing in the butt. We are very direct open and honest about our schedules and what we are working on. We constantly post videos and pictures on our facebook page that detail what is going on in the shop.
Bullitt is doing us all a favor by keeping you guys informed. He had an instrumental help in designing the kit and was not paid for it (His Choice). He wants to see this kit as much as you guys do and has a future project he is working on that will have this kit as well.
Please remain patient. We are starting the cutting of the lower manifolds tonight. This may take a few days as we are confirming the tool paths and we keep an eye on each operation to make sure everything is copasetic. By doing this we can confirm machining speeds and can estimate the overall machining cost time. This will help us finalize the overall costs. and get the price as low as possible on the production kits.
Thank you,
The RJM Team
