Default Toyo R888, How Much Grip Can YOU Handle?

Sometimes, purchasing a good tire is not about the cost. Sometimes, it isn't about the treadwear. Sometimes, it is about raw grip.

I know quite a few of you are starting to become heavily involved in tracking; you know how important it is to have a good set of tires. Until recently, Toyo offered their R888 tires, the highest dry performance tire they have available, for wheels all the way up to 19" diameter. Recently, Toyo unveiled their new R888 20" tire for the R35. So for you 20" track lovers that didn't have access to a great performance tire before, here is your best option. Those of you who have 19" wheels, why aren't you rocking these already ? One fun fact, the front tires are 5lbs less than stock R35 tires and rear tires are 6lbs lighter than stock R35 tires.

That is 22lbs reduced unsprung weight!

This is the hottest tire for the R35 right now. To my knowledge, it is one of the best tires available for the R35, other than the Nissan factory Dunlop SB 600 DSST.

Here are a few pictures of the GT-RR R35 GT-R that debuted the 20" Toyo R888 tires at SEMA 2008.

The way I look at it, if these track enthusiasts are putting tires like this on $100k cars, they must be good.

Here is a picture of R888's sitting next to the factory R35 Dunlops.

My question to all of you is, do you want maximum grip for your Z34? If so then these are the only tires I recommend to all of you. I can only imagine how well a 370Z will perform with a set of R888's so please let me know how I can help you; because I would love to see the Z34r shred even more than it already does on the track.

We try our best to maintain fair, aggressive pricing so I am confident that you will not find better pricing for these tires; however, I like to cover all my bases. Should you find a better price, this goes with anything we offer, please share with me because I would love to take that information, and spin it in a way that will benefit you. I will do whatever I can to at least match, if not beat any prices that are thrown at me.

For those who are looking for a second set of wheels for the track, give us a call and we will try to help you with a tire + wheel package deal.

That tire does not look suitable for the street at all. Unless you live in Phoenix and never see rain.

I didn't think they made RA-1s in 19 inch. If they do where can I get them?

I don't see a 19" RA1 listed anywhere, 18" is the largest that I am aware or.

Angan, RA1 and R888 are race tires, not street tires
