inside the door?

My drivers side door makes a noise when going over bumps. I know if I take it to the stealership they will say they don't hear it because they do not take the time to hear things. I will just wait for it to get worse so it happens more frequently!!

. Your warranty is with Nissan, not the dealership. Go to a more cooperative dealer.

Both of mine and the bros Z experienced this ...I say this in the past tense format ...fixed now.

Sorry I thought the rest of my post made it thru cyberspace, apparently not.

The issue is with the two guides that holds the window in the door frame. One guide has a plastic washer, the other does not. It's this guide as the noise ONLY occurs when the window is rolled up. One thought for those with out of warranty cars it to find a small rubber washer for both and grease it up.

For both mine and the bros 2009 models with extended warranties (btw: they have paid for themselves over and over again, so IMO it's worth the extra $$ and buy it on your next new Z purchase).

Nissan has updated the window regulator part number and this fixed the bros Z, been driving around for two months now and no more noise. My regulator was also replaced.

Mine was different story, and note this issue is weather related, just like the rear hatch spring issue. When the weather changes to hot or cold it could rear its ugly head or will not. Mine was still making noise....so Nissan wanted to test a theory and replace ALL of the rubber weather stripping around the entire drivers door. Have the car back since Friday and drove at city street speed and highway speed and ITS GONE NOW.

Yep. That's exactly what it sounds like. I never bothered to get it fixed and it doesn't do it as often as it used to. But, when it does happen, I just turn the stereo up.

Both doors on mine, I am bringing her in for that and flaky gas gauge and a transmission replacement for a 2nd time...

Oh yeah also a right rear caliper hanging up, they're gonna fix that too

For removing door panel, firstly remove the lock above and open handle inside. After this the most important is to unscrew the window crank. Then use a wide flat putty knife in order to pry the bottom of the panel away from the metal part of the door and finally lift the sill up out of its slot by the window and pulling the panel away from the door.

Although the thread is old I want to share this with you.

I got the strange noise from the passenger side door. Had to remove the internal panel (the one with the two rivets - other threads explain how to dismantle) and the issue was with a plastic component that is located at the lower end of the rear window guide. It is a white plastic component with a spring at the end and the cable passes through it. It makes noise when I drove over bumps.

I solved it by putting some sponge like material as a shim between this component and the internal panel and secured all with a cable tie around the sponge and the component. The elastic sponge material is preventing this component from vibrating during bumps.
