370z clutch noise?
Just wondering whether anyone is experiencing clutch noise problem when pressing and not pressing the clutch. Especially, when I'm pressing the clutch down I can really feel it in the pedal. Dealer says its a characteristic for the Z's  Thanks guys for the input.

I can hear mine engage and disengage.
|
Normal. Actually, my G clutch sounds just like my Z. Sorry, but this has been discussed numerous times.
|
Yup, when the car is cold the clutch can be heard, but after warmed up it goes away.
|
It's your throwout bearing, it actually gets replaced everytime your clutch is replaced. They can actually get fairly loud depending on how you drive. No worries just doing its job.
|
I also find that there's some throw out bearing noise in my 370 when it's cold, but like it was said its gone within a few minutes.

i actually love the mechanical whining of our trannys. and yes the clutch is a bit noisey.
its a sports car..... |
its your throwout bearing. thats strange though, isnt your car new? shouldnt need to be replaced yet.
|
^^just because you can hear something doesn't mean it's broken. I have asked other people when in the car, they never hear anything though......

I had put up a video of the noise a long time ago. Here is a long thread about it...

Pilot bearing and it should not be making the noise means the clutch assembly is out of balance. Burning that bearing.
I can feel my clutch is out of balance at idle. Taking to dealer if they say it normal. I am going to hit them with a brick! |
Engine is noisy, clutch is noisy... Gotten pretty used to it... Since my ex nissan s14 is same... Should be ok.
