GM has a major recall going on right now, as well, for Pontiac and Chevy autos.

These vehicles were never even recalled! But they were all American too...
But heaven forbid a successful Japanese car manufacturer has a defect....
Apparently you don't know how to take a joke

I think you're correct. Might as well let everyone know now what is wrong than having the general public find out the hardway. Save face atleast.

You do realize what is happening.... Toyota was the pandora box, it showed us how car companies tend to no recall every single problem they encounter unless it is life threatening, or can be done little by little. EVERY company that manufactures a product does the same.

So Toyoda got caught because they didn't move quick enough to recall their vehicles, obviously they did this to not "ruin" their image and now they are condemned. Then the rest of the car companies said ****, we need to recall every single thing we know wrong on our products before we are next.

Thus why all of a sudden an influx of recalls, small or big, it doesn't matter because they don't want to end up like Toyota.

to some old timer japanese, they would rather commit harakiri (suicide by disembowelment) than to lose face, and they are losing face big time with what has been happening.

Doubt a recall would happen. Just a TSB is most likely.
