Is this a good deal?

I found a 2009 Black 370Z Touring with Sport Pkg. / NAV / Auto Trans. and 100k extended warranty with 8k miles for $31,000.

Is this a good deal?

To me, it is !

If you are passing it, please give me the contact info lol

Considering I got my automatic 2009 Chicane Yellow with Touring pkg, floor mats and splash guards that had 11,500 miles for 27,200 OTD I'd say that's a pretty good deal. I would totally steal that from you because it has nav/sport pkg but I love my yellow Z. :) Also yes that includes a 10 year 100k mile warranty on the powertrain and GAP. :)

Well if everything goes right, I will be the new owner of a Black 2009 370Z by this weekend! Even though it wasn't exactly what I wanted. Can't seem to locate a white or blue touring with sport/nav/6spd.

I can see settling on color and nav but not on the tranny.......Wait dammit!

debogard2 03-25-2010 04:21 PM

Bullseye: there is a PW 6 speed M/T fully loaded in Elizabethtown, KY. 5000 miles on it. I could have gotten it OTD ( that includes 7.5% tax for ohio) for 34002.50 . Check it out on auto trader. I believe the Dealerships name is Swopes, talk to the sales manager. His first name is Taylor. Seems like a good deal....just not for me at this time. good luck and let me know what u think.

Agreed, dont settle for something that you're going to regret down the road, a tranmission decision can completely ruin the experience for you. Theres more than one board member here that made the wrong transmission choice and they're a$$ed out until the next Z comes out, wait, you wont be sorry.

370Zsteve 03-25-2010 04:27 PM

Wait and get the one you want. There are plenty around, and that price is ballpark.

Bullseye 03-25-2010 05:55 PM

Do you guys think the tranny will make that big of a difference in the performance of the Z?

Diocletian 03-25-2010 08:00 PM

If you REALLY want the manual it would. A lot loved the auto(as do I), but we CHOSE it, we didn't COMPROMISE for it. Remember that.

Edit: To be clear it's not a matter of performance, but preference. They are mostly equal in performance with the auto having a slight advantage. :)

Also keep in mind that the stock auto tranny will also not be able to stand up to high power applications, the manual will, so if you plan on doing a 500+hp build in the future, the 6MT is your best option.

I don't know how true that is, but yeah they would have a theoretical limit of reliable power, than again so does the manual. You can upgrade the valve body, torque converter, and add a transmission cooler for that purpose though.

I think an auto might be a better choice for me anyways, since this will be my main commuter! Atlanta traffic is no joke!

oh c'mon man, i think you're just looking for an excuse to buy the Z, traffic should be no object or deterring factor in your choice of transmission, I drive through heavy traffic every day, its as simple as clutch in, shift to neutral, clutch in, shift to 1st, its not a difficult operation, however if you're completely lazy and cant handle shifting a few times, then maybe you're better off with an auto.
