The Down Low What Gives? is it the intrest rates ?
So is the market completely dead ? or does no one want this body style anymore
Did I post something wrong not even one reply please give me some constructive feedback (Don't Bash Me) the car is still like new guess I could take the kit off buy some used stock cats and fuel pump assembly put the stock tune back in it, Carmax will give me Almost $35K... I would take $38K just to keep from working on it but that's it! I have like $56K in it.and can provide plenty of receipts. |

Asking $40k is a sh*t ton for a 370z, regardless of mods. Unless it’s some kind of unicorn build, nismo, rare parts, etc…
Modifications don’t necessarily add much value. To be honest a lot of the time, a completely stock car is worth more. If carmax is going to give you $35k, I’d jump on that if you need the car sold. Clean car though! I’m sure people would be jumping on this if the price was lower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Don't get me wrong, but it would probably be worth just the same if you didn't modify anything on it. These mods are probably not adding any value to the average customer. IF someone wants exactly such build as yours, then they might pay this price, otherwise many would prefer buying a stock one and modifying it to their own taste.

A highly modified car (especially if it’s the engine) actually further limits the pool of buyers.
Not everyone has the pockets and know-how to deal with aftermath if something goes wrong on a highly modified engine. Return it to stock, CarMax will buy your car for the same amount, then you can sell the turbo stuff separately. Or, sell to CarMax as is, rip the bandaid but you get to move on. Or, you can wait for that one specific buyer. Historically, on average, this route takes a very very long time, even when times were good and financing was easy. |

Well Thanks Guys You pretty much Confirmed what I thought to be true anyway, Just so much work to roll everything back to stock, It's paid for I just hate for it just sit and take up shop space, but it's hard to look at $16k + in mods and just give them away! I can't do it that's for sure. so not sure what I'm going to do now, but Thanks for everyone's input I appreciate it. Also I'm like 51 so I try to build my stuff one time with good parts hate doing stuff twice. Thanks again

Take it to the track where those mods matter, maybe you can find someone interested there… hard sell to enthusiasts who
A. Want to do it themselves and B. Aren’t inclined to trust a boosted car listed online Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I suggest you do the math of spending another $1000 (??) of your time and money and remove all the upgrades, sell them even at a loss, for about $8000 altogether, and you're still netting out more money than you would if you would sell the car as is today. |

OP,
2 questions: 1. Will Carmax give you that same price for a stock version of the car and if not - do you know what they will give you stock? 2. Have you tried FB Marketplace - as well as maybe jumping on some of the 370z FB pages? Is it a sh!tshow, sure it is bc the FB forums are always that way - but it seems like I see more people interested in boosted cars than wanting stock and building it themselves. Regardless - nice ride - and good luck with the sale. |

seems no interest at all I haven't got on any other forums. |
