The tires I have on my Z are primarily for handling and not straight line acceleration (RE-11). The power can pretty easily spin the rears above 6K rpm in first and second. Because the boost builds relatively slowly, you learn to modulate the throttle according to the rpm. Remember with SC, boost = rpm. A different tire combo can get better straight line accel but I'm more into terrorizing the twisties, which this car will do. I would say that my Z and the GT-R are pretty much matched in the handling department. The huge difference is the all wheel drive. The GT-R is a no drama rocket ship. 0-100 is unreal!
