it's always interesting when it's one of the OP's first posts and it's something like this.

Good luck with the sale and all, but I don't think you are going to get any nibbles at that price, upgrades or not. Do some more research on what the used Nismo's are getting sold for.

Thanks ChrisSlick, You may be right. I am not sure how to post pics. on the web sight, as this is new to me. Love the car and dont really want to sell it, but I hate to have it sitting. I spend more time (and money) working on my cars than driving them. Hard to get back all that goes into them. All I want on this one is to get what I owe the bank. No matter what the car, they are never a good investment. I have not been able to find a NISMO that is used , for sale. In my area they are not even available so I was hoping I might be able to sell this one. Thanks much for your input.

There will be some regional variation, but I did a national search and used Nismo's were being listed for between $35-38K stock. The lower numbers were private sales, the higher numbers were dealers.

Thanks Chris! I wasnt able to locate any in this area, I thought mine was one of the only ones here in Washington State. I am pretty stuck at the 41 grand price as I paid MSRP, tax and etc. which at this early point in ownership means I still owe what the original cost was. The dealer wanted 10 grand more than MSRP originally!!! I felt lucky to get a NISMO at 41 grand. If I dont sell it, not a big deal, I worked for Nissan since 1972 until 1976 and know they build really good stuff. Still have a 300 twin turbo which was one of the best they ever built. Stay safe. thanks for the info. Steve

Did you finance the entire $41K? Ouch.
Either way, yes, you would loose thousands if you try to sell it now. Just try to enjoy it more regularly so you get your money's worth. And if your ride is harsh make sure the dealer took all the spacers off the springs, apparently a very common problem. |

Yes, I had to finance most all of it. There was the sales tax, plates and the dealer wanted 10 grand over MSRP!! Finally they agreed to 2 grand over MSRP so I got a bit upside down at the start. But at the time it was the only one we coud find any place in the western washington area so I thought OK, but hadnt planned on selling it so soon. They did leave all the spacers in the front springs!! This is a problem when you love cars and want more than one in your garage! Best I can do right now is $40800.00 to satify the bankers. Weather now here is rainy and gray so it stays parked in the warm garage getting coats of wax rubbed on!

I know its a total pain but you may want to consider spending a day putting it back to stock. Guys on the board are pretty good about snatchiing up parts, heck, I'd even do an oil cooler etc.
Just a thought, it would lesson your hit if you can't find a buyer.

May I ask where you bought your interior carbon from, haven't really seen much out there other then the gauge pod cover but that's not my thing. Thanks and good luck.

The interior carbon trim as I recall came from Auto Assesories. Would have been Sherwood I think. I didnt use many of the pcs., just around the speedo, tach and door switches. It did come with more but I want the car to be close to stock, and any changes can be undone with out much trouble. I do have the stock rotors, radio and air filter system. I could put the brakes and air filter system back to stock but the radio was done at a car stereo place and the oil cooler install which I did was not easy and would be a bit of a problem to take out. I covered and protected all the oil lines from rubbing. I always put more goodies on and then sell at a loss! I really enjoy the hands on part as I used to be Nissan mechanic way back when the 240 Z just came out.

If you opt to sell anything off the car, give us all a stab at it. I for one am always willing to pick up some parts.
Let us know bro and best of luck!

CarMax is your friend when it comes to sell a vehicle. That is, if you have one around your area.
It is hassle free and they pay you pretty good as well. I'm guess probably nowhere near 41k tho'.

Thanks guys!! Probably at this point I will leave it all as is with upgrades. Only the radio, air filter system and rotors would be easy to change back and I ahve all the original stuff. Radio would cost as it would have to go back to instal store, BUT if I do I will give you a heads up for sure. If you want the carbon b pillars from "spawn" they are off and I will be glad to send them to you for free. His stuff not only takes months to get, but the quality is poor!! The car at least in my area of the US is probably worth $37000.00, even with the upgrades. stay safe..
