Default Just got back from ordering my Z...

and man am I excited!

I arrived at the dealership at around 7 p.m. tonight to see what I could work out with pricing on a Black/black 7AT Base with Floor Mats, a Trunk Mat, Splash Guards, and Illuminated Kick plates. They told me initially that I the price of the car was 34,500 take it or leave it. At about 9:30 (they close at 9:00) we had arrived at a deal.

I am getting what I chose delivered to me on Tuesday for 31,000 + TTL (Freight Charge of 695.00 included in the 31,000 price.) I also get a Lifetime Warranty with the vehicle.

I actually enjoyed the haggling process believe it or not and the dealer also stated at one point that he hated online forums because they ruin the car industry. I guess they don't like it when someone actually does a little research before coming into the dealership.

Also, I would highly recommend reading the edmunds articles about negotiating and car buying, as they helped me tremendously tonight. They tried just about every trick in the book along with tacking on a shipping fee of $1600 which made me literally laugh out loud.

So how did I do as a first time car buyer?
