Wait and see if it happens on cold start again tomorrow? Until you can duplicate it on demand, or at least define the cause, it's a random event.
As for the rainy day being a cause, I've only ever had that happen with one vehicle. A microcrack in the distributer would let moisture in on very rainy days and short the spark. It took forever to figure it out. Arc path in the distributer finally gave it away.
