Yeah, I doubt it too. I don't see how water could get through the door and into the seat belt retractor area. It's pretty obvious the water would need to leak through the roof panels above the door or through the hatch.
I think the techs probably spent more time driving my car around than thinking about where the water is coming in from.
Totally off topic: what do you guys do to reduce joy ride miles driven by techs / advisors / whoever? It seems like every time I take my Z to the dealer (first 2 free oil changes then twice for this leak) there is between half a mile and 2 miles added to the odometer, presumably hard-driven miles.
