Default Warning Lights on When ECU Scanner Plugged In

I've been having this really weird problem for the past two weeks with my Z and I can't seem to figure it out, so I figured I would post it here in hopes of getting some help.

I recently installed a cat-back exhaust and a set of high flow cats. The car was in my garage up on jack stands for a few days with the negative battery cable disconnected. After the install was complete I reconnected the cable and the car ran fine. A few days later I plugged in my OBDII scanner to mess around with the torque app and I immediately noticed the airbag light, the VDC Light and the traction control light were all illuminated. I turned the car off and back on and the lights went off. Several minutes later they came back on. I turned the car off, pulled out the scanner and started the car and the lights never came back on. That is until I plugged the scanner in.

I use this scanner on a few other cars and confirmed it was working fine in them. It only has issues when plugged in to the Z. I have briefly used it in the past in the Z with no issues. While plugged in I scanned for any fault codes, but none were found.

When the scanner isn't plugged in the car runs fine and the traction control / VDC works without any issues. I'm not sure what to do about this. I've also read that for reasons unknown, the brake fluid can set off a number of dash lights, so I checked that and its fine. Again, this only happens when the scanner is plugged in.

Any and all help will be most appreciated.
