If you can learn to use a multimeter and read some electrical drawing (neither is particularly difficult), you should be able to do your own trouble-shooting. Since the problem is intermittent and you spend more time with the car than the dealer, you have a better chance of catching it while it's acting up.

IIRC, there is more than one thread on this site that discusses the same or similar problem. Might be able to get some ideas there. Go to any of the big web search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string.
