Default Question regarding OEM mudguard piece behind the skirt

The area ahead of the rear wheel and behind the skirt on my passenger side:

In comparison to my driver side:

Looks like that's
768561 EA0A
DEFLECTOR-MUDGUARD,REAR RH
(look on the bottom right corner)

I assume this happened on the highway because I really don't remember hearing/feeling anything. Just noticed this today as I was doing a bird poop spot clean on the rear quarter.

Through my liner got scraped up in general so I might get the whole thing replaced. I'm just wondering if there's an integrity concern for holding the rear end of the side skit. Nothing seems to be coming loose but just wondering for safe measure as I drive in the meantime while I arrange for replacements, and I think the interface may have been compromised.
