Don't overfill the crankcase; I put mine up to the circle on the dipstick (about 5.3qts.)
Mine doesn't see a racetrack often-but is driven hard at times.
Taller gears & heavier wheels/tires can add to consumption.
I perform 2500mi. Oil changes with 5/30 extended performance Mobil syn & a Napa Platinum oil filter (made by Wix & designed for synthetic oils)
As I approach 85k miles, I may have to add 4oz. Or so to keep it on the full mark/and this usually doesn't happen till about 2k into the new oil.
When it had less miles (20,30,40k) would have to do this 2-3 times between changes.
Max 12oz. Or so at a 2500 mi. Interval; but it sees 7500rpm's every time I take it out.
And has been to speeds more than I can post.
But seems to have settled down from new on mild consumption.
