To answer the questions above:

Cost to replace the CSC and the master cylinder was $1,147.00. Probably just a bit on the high side, but given the somewhat isolated area I was in I was just happy to find a place that could get the parts and do the work, which took a total of 2 days. I was visiting family so had alternate transportation, and the repair place was only about 5 miles away (versus 45 miles to Colorado Springs). Value in convenience.

Total time was 13 hours, 12 hours moving -- so 1 hour total stopped time for fueling and breaks. The way I travel long road trips (no matter which vehicle I'm in at the time) my stops are more like pit stops. I don't dilly dally. I typically run about 3 hours or a bit longer between stops. I try to get in "the zone" and stay there.
