Ur decision to give a kid a car is ur decision but my parents made me get a job to get mine, never gave me any financial support, i've been working since i was 14 to have the things i want, I'm 20 drive a 370z, was honor roll, a blown knee killed football for me, and the only records I have are driving, and employment. I not only understand the value of working for what i want, i understand being poor and the unfairness that is present in our world that is the majority of us won't get handouts. Nobody knows your kid better than you and plenty of rich kids eventually go on to be rich and do well in there lives so don't think we are trying to tell you what to do it's just that it worked for my parents, it'll work for me. On a side note, I have a friend who had SOO much handed to him by his parents and he is never going anywhere in his life and makes terrible decisions because he isn't responsible for anything he does. If I ever did decide to buy my kid a car, i would make him pay at least half, or buy him a broken car and make him fix it(pass on the car gene
). There are valid points both ways on this.
Edit: just to
as i like arguments, I'm on my 5th car, slated to by house when i turn 26, and have a stable future where the hell is my Jeep
