To All,
I wanted to take this opportunity to give you guys & ladies a little insight as to why our lead times have grown.
February and March of this year we received the largest influx of orders in a two months span since we opened our doors 12+ years ago. On an average we sell about 16-22 370z cat backs per month. In that 2 month span we sold nearly 70 units. At first glance it can seem very overwhelming given the size of our workforce, but in normal fashion, we just extended our lead times and are always honest with our customers. We strive to build the highest quality system available, but our lead times are our setback. It sounds easier than it is, hiring more help. What we do is very intricate and requires a lot of experience, knowledge and a certain eye to deliver you the quality you've come accustom to.
Fast forwarding to today... as of May 1st, we've hired a more a new employee. Cutting, bending, prepping, etc, etc. The easy stuff to speed the higher skilled people up. We are now getting more out the door than ever before. It may not look like it because we have more orders in the queue than ever before! Please rest assured that we are moving more completed product and our quality will never be sacrificed! Our quality is our #1-B goal, behind #1-A our service.
Many years ago before Kevin came on board, I was trying to do it all. Juggling emails, orders and building product. He's been a godsend in giving me some quality of life back and helping our business grow. He is very good at what he does. He is your point of contact and will always strive to give you the best communication possible. We have a great system in place and almost all of the time meet or exceed the ship date we've given you on your invoice. That said, recently we've offered a new exhaust tip in to the equation.
Our Prismatic tip has been a great mover and is a fresh take on our cat back. The local facility we have contracted to do the work is still ironing out quality and production bugs. No need to sound the alarm! I personally inspect every single tip before it's signed off in the build process. If it doesn't meet my standards, it is rejected! The good news is, we are close to perfecting this process and having plenty of inventory in stock. I'm bringing this up because some of these specific orders have been skipped and delayed in the past due to this. Kevin has made a point to reach out to those individuals and keep them up to speed.
As for our dealers, they do receive a bump in lead time. Our network is rather large and complex. We have a lot of moving parts and people to keep happy. At the end of the day, it's about meeting our consumer's expectations. End consumer and dealer alike.
My goal today is to give insight and put some minds at ease. If I've done that, mission accomplished!
We all appreciate your business and patience.
Thank you for your time.
-Tony
