Quick question: is it worth getting a .22 AR-15? again this would just be for the range and .22 is so much ******* cheaper to shoot.

The handgun will be range use and home defense.

Look for sales on Ruger , Marlin, Savage your pick.. when you are ready for 223, or 556 then buy it and you still have a 22 in the closet for fun too.

I suggest .. look up Appleseed project if you do not have a lot of range time.. took my boys to these great training.

What they said.

You can get an AR-15 style stock later on for pretty much any 22lr rifle out there, Ruger 10/22 being the easiest. Considering you live in NJ a 10/22 or similar rifle would be a good way to go. I would think it would be easier to get a 10/22 than an AR-15 style 22 in NJ.

Once you move to a free state then get an AR-15
