It depends on how much you are using the sockets. I've been using the metal ones, the auto parts store uses the plastic ones on their battery cart, and they are constantly breaking. You can get magnetic trays, ones that the socket has a slot to sit in and a magnet to hold them to the tray, or the flat piece of magnetic metal that goes in the bottom of the drawer and the socket sits on that.
