Default Hub ring won't sit flush on hub

I have this issue. I bought a set of hub rings for my aftermarket wheels (66.1- 75) but they don't sit flush with the hub since they have a little lip that makes them protrude a tiny bit. Are there any rings of the size I need that come without this lip, or will I be ok if I don't use hub rings as long as I tighten the lugs to the proper torque and in a star pattern?
