I've got almost 6k miles on mine, driven daily from when I bought it in August to X-Mas when we got a couple feet of snow dropped on us. My paint still looks perfect, no chips. Just give the cars in front of you more room, that's where those chips come from. Seriously, if you were the only driver on the road, you'd never get a chip on your front bumper...but you aren't. So drop back 2 seconds behind the car in front of you (like you're supposed to anyway) and you'll magically notice something...no more chips! Amazing...
Oh yeah, not hitting the curb helps too, can't blame that on Nissan.
