Sadly everything they've been doing over the past 2 years since Andy Palmer left Nismo North America has reinforced how unimportant the Z is to them and motorsports in general.
- Andy Palmer leaves Nissan in 2014
- Nissan delays the Z35
- Nissan cuts funding to Doran Racing and all other teams running the 370Z in the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Series in early December 2015.
- Nissan hamstrings the GTR-LM Nismo Le Mans car before the race in June.
- Nissan terminates the entire US based GTR-LM development team and racing team two days before Christmas 2015 via email. They had originally budgeted for a two year program but figured they'd cut it short by a year.
- Rumors swirl about the Z35 over the next year, Nissan adds ASE and a Bumble Bee edition to the bountiful features offered by the Z34.
- April 14 2017, Christian Meunier announces that "The 370Z is not a priority for us"
