The original Hellcat was a POS...I owned it for 6 months and sold it and purchased the 370z nismo. Here is why:
1. Superchargers were all crapping out...bearing issues and they were being replaced for awhile then Dodge started to reject replacements telling people it "may be normal"..and to wait.... To replace costs 12k so out of warranty you just made an expensive car more expensive. I hope they fixed the supercharger on these ...my guess is its the same one.
2. Vibration at 75 to 80 mph had to get it road forced balanced multiple times. Typical problem with their wheels and tires...every time you change tires...your going to have this problem.
3. Came with 275's on the rear..(nismo 370z comes with 285s so this is ridiculous) impossible to hook up on the street an accord can beat you from a dig because you own a burnout machine. To correct this problem guys were using semi drag radials on the street...the problem is this put more strain on the drive shaft and any damage Dodge would not cover DS. Plus your burnout machine is now a hazard if it rains...
4. Was over 200 inches long, 4000 + pounds, wide, horrible handling virtually felt like steering a boat versus the 370z.
5. Rust seems to be an issue, mine already had some ...I live in Houston. The Nismo I purchased which is a 2013 zero rust -nothing...Hellcat 2015 too visually present in suspension and engine...
6. Cost ...I purchased mine for 58k used...my Nismo was 28k ...1/2 the price! No way the Hellcat was worth 2 x my nismo.
7. Power was amazing....but honestly unusable anywhere but the track so 90% of the time you are using 1/4 of the pedal or less. The saying goes something like this: it is funner to drive a slow car fast then it is to drive a fast car slow...this I can say in my experience is 100% true.
8. Hellcat is like a triple cheeseburger. Sometimes too much is too much..just like a triple cheese burger the hellcat is big, messy and just too much. Stick with 2 patties or less..

I am sure they have fixed some of these things, but I am sure they have not fixed them all...I will say the supercharger whine was intoxicating....that almost made it worth it every time you gave it some gas it felt like hell was coming behind you and sounded like it too!
