Default E85 Knock Sensor Monitoring Necessary?

Is anyone utilizing the OE knock sensors when tuning their cars for E85? seems to me, from what ive been reading, that they would be kind of useless in a high HP scenario. im just looking for some input from anyone whos got a little first hand knowledge on tuning boosted ethanol cars
