Just follow these steps. The wires in the mirror were different on my Z. I'm too lazy to go outside and check, but if anyone needs to know which wire to connect to I will go check.
Nice. After I received my stealth cord, it occurred to me how easy it would be to make one, like in the link you posted.

One advantage to the one I ordered is the fuse included in the power line. I've burned out a Passport 8500 before with a hardwired cord that shorted. This fuse might help avoid that. Maybe.
