I know what you're saying. He may have an an attitude, but he's definitely
not silver spoon fed. He grew up near me, in Stevenage and went to an average local school. His family were far from wealthy, but his dad was devoted to helping him succeed. He was just lucky to be spotted by Ron Dennis at a very young age.
His obsession with winning is a double-edged sword. It makes him the champion he is and it also makes him the less pleasant character he is when he fails to win.
On balance I really admire him - a self-made champion who didn't have a rich daddy. I'd love him to win a
4th championship because I love the way he drives.
Saw him at Silverstone the day Pirelli gave him that almighty blowout a few years ago. Man did he show some talent & balls to drive though the pack and end up 4th, in a race he would have won, but for the dodgy tyres. His genius is undeniable.
Edit - and Rosberg only won last year because Lewis had more technical problems. On a level playing field, Lewis wins every time. I think most of us would have tantrums if our car kept breaking down.
