I think N0SL3N has the right idea - direct to battery (through fuse) or separate battery. Or you can use a tap-a-fuse. I'd go the direct route but whatever works best for you.

The FSM has wiring diagrams, harness routing, pinouts, etc that will help you pick the best spot to tap for lights.
