Default Need help replacing that glovebox thing in my 2017 Base Z

Okay, so I'm completely clueless on this subject and I know there's a million threads, but after searching around for a bit I haven't been able to find any threads addressing my concerns

First question: Can you play audio files from your phone wirelessly via bluetooth in base models or do you need the Sport Tech model with the full factory Nav unit?

Furthermore, most of the threads on here are about replacing the radio for a complete Nav/Audio system, which is nice, but I was interested in knowing if there is anyway of putting a Nav system in the middle glove box things and leave the radio as is? I really dislike the look of the car with that giant useless thing in the middle. Would that be possible or would they conflict with one another? I'm in So Cal, and apparently there's this guy that can do this sort of work according to a thread I just viewed on this page, so I'm just looking for guidance on what is possible and what isn't and what my options in the market. Also, I'd like to keep the steering wheel controls, which I know is probably a huge hassle as well.

If there's a thread already covering my concerns, sorry and please point me to it, otherwise, I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks
