I could definitely get water in the door if it rained or I washed it so this is concerning me, you can see there's a huge gap on the close up with the door closed. I can't see a way the black sticker would block this sufficiently, There's no way it would properly bridge and stay adhered to the weather strip in the door.
You are going to get some amount of water in the door anyway.That is why the door has drains.
