There's a big difference between texting and posting on a forum. At least IMNSHO. For private messages, I may get sloppy. For public stuff, I try to be a bit more "formal."

If I don't know how to spell it I don't use it* ... but my fingers don't always cooperate. I guess in my case, it's typo-check.

PS: From what I've seen, most people on The Intertubes have pretty good spelling/grammar/usage skills. But the offenders really stand out.


*I don't remember ever typing a word into Google and not being close enough that Google wouldn't respond with "Did you mean <correct spelling>?"
