I did my first install over 30 years ago. A few years later I opened my own shop, and did well for 5 years, then I gave up on it after it got robbed clean. Afterwards, I did installs for all my friends, their friends, their kids, now I'm on to the grandkids. lol
I know the basics, and maybe a few other tidbits I picked up along the way from people that know a lot more than I do. I have also been competing for 25+ years, and have met, and "talked shop" with a lot of the folks who were, and some that still are, at the top of the game, which proved to be a great resource of information.
In all honesty, the newer tech started leaving me behind a few years back, and I never bothered to keep up. Im getting too old to be crawling around in small cars!
Yeah, I've been around the block, but anyone that can tap on these keys can find all the answers they want right here online, along with the means and methods to do the work themselves... You just need to learn how to look past all the wives tales of old, and industry myths and dogma.
I do appreciate the props, though.
Right now I've got to get out to the garage.... My daughter just bought a used car, and the damn thing doesn't have Bluetooth or Nav, so guess whats on the list for today!!! Headunit in an 05 Subaru legacy.
