Nola
Was at the Porsche event this past weekend at NOLA shaking down the Nissan. Track was wet and we were on slicks in the morning sessions which made for a fun few sessions! Gopro uploaded 4400 still shots instead of video as I must of hit something wrong when setting it up. (Hero5)
Great weekend, PCA people were wonderful, my instructor Ken was top notch and the track was flat an fast.
Car has a great suspension, it was set a to soft for us, so we made some adjustments. It was lights out in the rain. Both morning sessions were wet, so I had to make adjustments by driving off line.
Power - Good and linear, very manageable to drive
Brakes - Stoptech BBK, no abs outstanding
Suspension - 2 way remote adjustable JRZ's adjustable links all around, Hotchkiss sways and spherical bearings, again top notch.
Exhaust - Ungodly loud
Tires- for **** hoosiers r7
It had a diff cooler and extra fuel pump so temps were great all around, My race buddy and I got 5 sessions each on saturday and 2 each on sunday. He had a blowout and we went from square 295 to fronts 275 toyo's. Ssepension was a little to soft so we made some adjustments. Will need to stiffen up the sways.
Overall The car ran great I was not easy on it and neither was my partner. WIth the right suspension setup and tires this car is good. A little heavy but really easy to drive and easy to recover from when it gets out of sort.
There were probably some Porsche and Corvette tears...
Overall great weekend at the track, I can't say enough of all the people at the PCA event and the track staff. Everyone was on point, friendly and none of the bs that I have seen at other events. Can't wait to go back !
