And turn my 370z into a track car due to the face I just finished paying mine off. I guess time till tell where the auto industry goes from here, but it's not looking good for us on this forum who enjoy a pure drivers car.

All I can guess is that Nissan is milking every last dollar out of that platform. That to me already showcases their initial expectations for how this car would sell were out to lunch. And I'm guessing they never recovered.
Believe me, I too am sad about it.
What makes me even more sad is that it seems youth these days have zero interest in cars. Or at least not that many do anymore. Back in the day, man, you'd see hot imports all over town. Some nice, some pieces of ****, but still, you could see enthusiasts of all ages. What was nice is that the younger youth- the ones who couldn't afford nicer cars when they were young, were buying them when they could finally afford them.
But that stopped somewhere. Or rather, is slowing down big time. And it seems that love is being lost, and we are being punished since brands want to continue making big money and as such, cater to these groups. And these groups are huge. And they don't give a damn about cars.
